Sources and calendar verification checklist

Verify a news item or event before adding it to the context of a practice session.

Return to the source

The text template covers authorship, original links, publication dates, data periods, timing and revisions. It includes official BLS, BEA and Federal Reserve calendar links. These sources publish their own events; the checklist is neither a worldwide calendar nor an automatic update service. Consult the source on the day you prepare the exercise.

Use the correct date and time

Distinguish the publication date from the period the data describe. Record the original time zone and check its conversion for that particular date. Daylight-saving transitions do not always coincide across countries. For historical sessions, use information available at the time and record whether the value you consulted was revised afterwards.

  • Keep the link, access date and event name.
  • Distinguish published data, external forecasts and interpretation.
  • Mark unconfirmed timing or figures as pending.

Apply it to practice

Define which part of the exercise could be affected and keep the reference in your session plan. An event’s presence does not establish market direction or a trade. If essential information is missing, record that gap and adjust the exercise objective. The download organises manual checks, needs no registration and does not transmit your notes to Chezur.
