Where it may help
Bar Replay lets you select a historical starting point and move through a chart using playback and speed controls. Replay Trading adds simulated trading on that history. It may suit someone who already reads candles and wants to record decisions before seeing the outcome. This assessment is based on official documentation reviewed on 12 October 2026, without hands-on product testing.
Give the exercise a purpose
Choose the instrument, interval and skill beforehand. One example is recognising when a written condition has not yet been met. Advance without scrolling into the future and record your decision before continuing. Include situations where you take no trade. Review your original explanation against the rule, as well as the simulated outcome.
- Set the simulated session capital, currency and costs.
- Keep your notes and export available reports before finishing.
- Separate first observations from repetitions of an already familiar date.
Limitations to check
Replay Trading and Paper Trading are different modes. The help documentation says broker-panel and Paper Trading orders use current data during replay, while Replay Trading results are not retained as a persistent history. Historical depth depends on the symbol, interval and subscription access. Check these conditions for the exercise you intend to run.
How to assess the fit
It may fit a chart-centred study routine when you can maintain your own review process. Guided sequences, a curriculum and educational progress tracking require a routine around the tool. This review does not assess speed, execution quality or customer support. Confirm current terms before subscribing, and judge the exercise by the decision evidence you can preserve.
